The IAAP mission is to be the acknowledged, recognized leader of administrative professionals and to enhance their individual and collective value, image, competence, and influence.

What is the IAAP?
Founded in 1942 as National Secretaries Association, the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is the world’s leading organization of office professionals with over 40,000 members and affiliates in 600 chapters worldwide. The association works in partnership with employers to promote excellence and recognition of the profession. IAAP is the originator and sponsor of Administrative Professionals Week and Administrative Professionals Day observed the last week of April each year. 

~ Organization's History ~
Founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association (NSA) to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff. The association's name was changed in 1998 to the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) to encompass the large number of varied administrative job titles and recognize the advancing role of administrative support staff in business and government.


~ Attending the Chapter Meetings ~


Join us for our monthly chapter meetings which consists of a program and dinner ($25). Our programs provides professional development for our chapter members and guests. If you would like to attend our meeting, please contact LaTonya Blount CPS/CAP.

~ Dogwood's History ~
Dogwood Chapter was chartered June 21, 1963 and is one of 18 chapters in the metro Atlanta area; and one of 29 chapters throughout the state of Georgia.

The chapter has 20 members and meets at 6:00 pm on the third Tuesday of every month at the Holiday Inn Airport South, Atlanta, Georgia.

Georgia Division is a member of the Southeast District of IAAP, one of six districts making up the international organization. IAAP also has affiliate members from several countries including Canada, England, Japan, Hong Kong, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.
